Nishimura & Asahi

We are pleased to announce that Nishimura & Asahi (N&A) has been granted a license to open its Dubai Representative Office by the authority of the United Arab Emirates Free Zone, and will open the Office in December 2016.

With the opening of our new representative office in Dubai, which is not only the economic center of the Middle East, but also the gateway to Africa, we are strengthening our Middle East Practice Group, especially with regard to our services relating to Iran, which is seen to have promising business opportunities following the recent easing of sanctions, in order to serve the needs of Japanese companies doing business and investing in the region.

In order to further support our clients’ businesses overseas, especially in Asia, we have opened offices in Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Singapore, Yangon and Hong Kong, and regularly send our lawyers on secondment to Europe, the United States, India, Indonesia, Brazil, etc. Our overseas offices, working in close cooperation with our offices in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka, enable us to provide quality legal services to Japanese companies wherever they do business in the region.

Our Middle East Practice Group and African Practice Group in Tokyo will provide a wide range of legal services with regard to matters relating to the Middle East and Africa markets, which have great potential yet often involve complex issues, in collaboration with our Dubai Representative Office, which will have a resident lawyer with local expertise and keep abreast of clients’ needs and the most recent legal trends.

(Note: Our Dubai Representative Office does not directly provide legal services.)
