Nishimura & Asahi included in The GAR100, the list of leading global arbitration practices

Renowned international arbitration periodical Global Arbitration Review (GAR) has included Nishimura & Asahi’s international arbitration practice in its 11th edition of The GAR 100, the definitive guide to leading law firms in international arbitration.

Our inclusion in The GAR 100 as Japan’s first-ever entrant underscores Nishimura & Asahi's unique position in Japan's arbitration market. Acceptance into The GAR 100 is subject to strict prior vetting by GAR, ensuring that only those firms with highly credible and substantive arbitration case work become eligible. We were selected for the important and high-value disputes we handle for our clients, something that makes us stand out not only in Japan, but also among peer firms across Asia.

Our international arbitration group is led by practice head Hiroyuki Tezuka, and includes partners Akihiro Hironaka, Yutaro Kawabata, Shintaro Uno and Chie Nakahara. The group also includes foreign disputes specialists Lars Markert from Germany and Natalie Yap an English lawyer previously practicing in Singapore, as well as 15 associates.
