NIALS established the Asian and Middle Eastern Legal Documentation Center.

The Nishimura Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) established the Asian and Middle Eastern Legal Documentation Center on January 13, 2009, as an affiliated organization.

The primary mission of this Center is to establish and build an Asian and Middle Eastern library and contribute to the investigative research of legal systems in Asia and the Middle East.

The first director of the Center is Masaru Ono, Governor of NIALS.
