Many corporate scandals have been discovered through the reports of whistle blowers. This clearly indicates that an effective whistle blowing system is vital for all companies to ensure that they follow and improve their compliance policies. In particular, foreign governmental authorities, including the Department of Justice of the U.S. attach great importance to the effective operation of whistle blowing systems as a core element of corporate compliance systems such as preventive measures against bribery.
Besides providing advice on establishing whistle blowing systems, we support the operation of such systems, as an external channel of communications, by receiving the communications, internally investigating such cases, communicating with whistle blowers, and providing advice relating to the disposition of cases including the imposition of disciplinary measures on the employees or directors concerned.
