Timothy Jeffares (admitted in England and Wales) joined the firm in May 2017.

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Timothy Jeffares (admitted in England and Wales) joined Nishimura & Asahi as the Global Development Director in May 2017 and will work to support the global management of the firm.

Since joining Clifford Chance (at that time Clifford Turner) in 1986, Mr. Jeffares has worked in various locations globally including London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Frankfurt, mainly in financial practice areas. He was the managing partner of that firm’s Bangkok Office (1996 - 2003) and Tokyo Office (2004 - 2008). His most recent position (from 2012) was as an Of Counsel for White & Case in Tokyo.

We are confident that we will further enrich and enhance the globalization of our firm with Mr. Jeffares’ considerable experience in working for global firms and his proactive support of the management team consisting of Japanese attorneys, along with Mr. Shoichi Miyasaka, who joined the firm as the Senior Executive Director in December 2016.
