Litigation against ex-directors of Geo Holdings

N&A represented GEO Holdings, a major entertainment business company, in a litigation against the ex-chairman, ex-president and ex-executive vice president for breaches of their respective duties as directors. After extensive efforts during the three year long court proceedings at the Nagoya District Court, N&A successfully obtained a judgement in favor of the client in June 2015.  Although an appeal was sought, N&A also successfully obtained a judgment by the court of appeals to dismiss the appeal in July 2016.  An appeal of that judgment is now pending at the Supreme Court.  This case involves complex factual and legal issues because the accused persons carried out various hidden dealings in violation of their duties as company directors.
