Nishimura & Asahi’s Japan practices and lawyers receive top rankings in Chambers Asia Pacific 2019
Leading Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi collected high honors spanning a wide variety of practices in Japan in the recently-published 2019 edition of Chambers Asia Pacific, including the highest possible ranking, Band 1, for our Banking & Finance, Competition/Antitrust, Corporate/M&A, Projects & Energy, Real Estate and Restructuring/Insolvency practices. Nishimura & Asahi was also recognized with impressive rankings in the following practice areas: Aviation, Asset Finance, Financial Services Regulation, Capital Markets, Securitisation & Derivatives, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Insurance, International Trade, Investment Funds, Life Sciences and Tax.
Each ranking in the guide is accompanied by an analysis, derived from Chambers and Partners’ direct interviews with clients, highlighting specific areas of strength for each respective practice and individual lawyer. For example, clients told Chambers that “the quality of the firm’s legal services is excellent. They have well-experienced partners and associates that work to give us good and practical advice on a tight schedule;” “they have a lot of highly specialised and knowledgeable lawyers, so you receive an accurate and precise analysis for a wide variety of demands;” and “they're efficient, give us tremendous support, and the advice is high-quality and multifaceted.” Another satisfied client added that Nishimura & Asahi “offers an extremely high level of balanced legal advice and is considered by us to be the most trustworthy Japanese firm.”
In addition to the numerous rankings earned by our firm’s Japan practice, Nishimura & Asahi received recognition in a number of other key jurisdictions, including Corporate/M&A and Real Estate rankings in Vietnam, and the managing partner of Walalangi & Partners (in association with Nishimura & Asahi), Luky Walalangi, was recognized as a leading individual for Corporate/M&A in Indonesia. Moreover, many Nishimura & Asahi lawyers were individually recognised for their outstanding work.
