James graduated with Master of Laws from University of Pennsylvania in 1997 and is a Director of Bayfront Law LLC. James was called to the Bar of England in 1996 and admitted as advocate & solicitor of Singapore in 1999.

James has over 20 years of professional working experience of which 15 years are in private equity investments and funds advisory transactions. He has been in Singapore legal practice for over a decade and have held previous appointments as profit sharing partner in a joint law venture, as well as helmed his own firm for 5 years managing a team of 8 staff then. James has been honored to become the pioneer legal adviser to Singapore Corporate Counsel Association from 2016-2020.
