Masako Yajima is a partner at Nishimura & Asahi belonging to the firm’s international dispute resolution practice group. She has represented many international clients including major Japanese and foreign manufactures, banking and securities firms, insurance companies and news media in dispute resolutions involving antitrust laws, corporate governance, insurance laws, consumer laws, intellectual property, defamation, joint ventures, licensing, construction, finance and other commercial matters as well as international bankurptcy. She was a Vice-chief of the Japan Association of Arbitrators(2005-2007)and an editor of the Japan Financial ADR/Ombusman Study Group(2008-). She is admitted in Japan and New York.
